As some of you know, I've had to give up on wireless support for now, so I've decided to release some changes I've made to XBCD 0.2.5 and be done with it. I'm probably only going to provide the release to squall_leonhart and Truth Unknown so that it's packaged in a full installation. Here's what to expect:
Setup Utility: essentially the same as my 2.20 release, with a number of theme bug fixes and Vista compatibility (hopefully). Rumble: Input on the Y axis will no longer cause the controller to rumble in games like NFSMW. Driver: 360 LEDs restore correctly when coming out of suspend. |

Check the latest release thread for releases from now on
i have a setup available for users to try Latest Build Date: 21/01/2008 (DD/MM/YYYY) Note this still doesn't have wireless support, but contains the fixes listed by SpiderVenom Note #2 x64 Driver has had the fixes from the the x32 driver merged in. Note #3 This is now updated to work on 2k/XP/x64 through to Vista x64 (vista x64 requires enforced driver signing disabled in the F8 boot menu) also, does anyone still use Win98? another change that had to happen, is that the control no longer identifies as 0738x4516 to dinput anymore, this was done to fix the NFS rumble issue, which means now if you get a control that isn't included in the inf, your gunna have to play without rumble until i've added the controls info to a new installer. this was unfortunate but i would prefer everything be kept in the installer regarding reg entries so as they can be removed easily. the + side to it, is that i check the forums regularly and will usually update the installer instantly if needs be... that and its not 100% finished anyway heres some screens from the new SU ![]() -------------------- ![]() click piccy for the lands of Tempra^ VBA-M, NGOHQ, Post Impact Productions, Latest XBCD 0.2.6 Specs CPU:AthlonXP 3000+ @ 2179Mhz Mainboard:Asus A7N8X-Deluxe (1009) Memory:1.5GB PNY + Corsair @ 333mhz Video:Leadtek Geforce 5900XT @Sound:Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Monitor:ACER AL2016W Case:Omni X510S PSU:ThermalTake Toughpower 600 OS:Windows XP SP3 HDD:Seagate 80 and 40gb |

Bug Fixed
can i suggest that next you look into why the rumble in NFSU is so weak? its weak as ass when on gravel, and doesn't even rumble hard when you hit stuff (pretty sure its the rumble method used thats the problem... sine instead of ramp or constant.) -------------------- ![]() click piccy for the lands of Tempra^ VBA-M, NGOHQ, Post Impact Productions, Latest XBCD 0.2.6 Specs CPU:AthlonXP 3000+ @ 2179Mhz Mainboard:Asus A7N8X-Deluxe (1009) Memory:1.5GB PNY + Corsair @ 333mhz Video:Leadtek Geforce 5900XT @Sound:Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Monitor:ACER AL2016W Case:Omni X510S PSU:ThermalTake Toughpower 600 OS:Windows XP SP3 HDD:Seagate 80 and 40gb |

Rainbow Six Vegas does not recognise the controller as an XBOX360 controller using this driver package, whereas it did when using the XBCD+ 0.4.0.0 driver (so, the 0.2.5 driver version I guess).
AFAIK this game exclusively uses XInput to communicate with the controller, and presumably will not recognise non-XInput controllers at all. |

XBCD was never intended to be used on xinput games anyway, expect reduced or no functionality when using it as such
did you install the new version properly? you have to uninstall the old version and the driver from device manager to properly install this one. -------------------- ![]() click piccy for the lands of Tempra^ VBA-M, NGOHQ, Post Impact Productions, Latest XBCD 0.2.6 Specs CPU:AthlonXP 3000+ @ 2179Mhz Mainboard:Asus A7N8X-Deluxe (1009) Memory:1.5GB PNY + Corsair @ 333mhz Video:Leadtek Geforce 5900XT @Sound:Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Monitor:ACER AL2016W Case:Omni X510S PSU:ThermalTake Toughpower 600 OS:Windows XP SP3 HDD:Seagate 80 and 40gb |

Thanks for the work!!!
But there's still an issue with PJ64 and the rumble. It does not work correctly at all - Constant OR Ramp. Once in gameplay, the rumble is usually constant (full blast) for no reason and it does not match with gameplay. What's worse is that even after closing the emulator, the controller keeps the vibration on and you're forced to restart your computer. It is better since in the last few versions of XBCD, there was zero rumble in PJ64. I've been forced to use the .sys file from 0.2.1 because of this. That was the last time it worked correctly. Maybe you can look at that file and see what the difference is to get to the bottom of this. I hope you can finally fix this once and for all. Thanks! PS: I use 2 Madcatz Microcon 360 controllers BTW. |

i've no idea why that is, all i can say is i can't reproduce it, unless im messing about with the rumble types.. heh that was messy..
SV, your the one with the 360 control mind giving PJ64 and the nrage2.0 v2.0 plugin a download and having a look at it? what game is it Legend? and using rabiddeity's latest? mind giveing me the usbview vid and pid?.. i can't see that controller in the inf :\ nevermind, its under a different name -------------------- ![]() click piccy for the lands of Tempra^ VBA-M, NGOHQ, Post Impact Productions, Latest XBCD 0.2.6 Specs CPU:AthlonXP 3000+ @ 2179Mhz Mainboard:Asus A7N8X-Deluxe (1009) Memory:1.5GB PNY + Corsair @ 333mhz Video:Leadtek Geforce 5900XT @Sound:Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Monitor:ACER AL2016W Case:Omni X510S PSU:ThermalTake Toughpower 600 OS:Windows XP SP3 HDD:Seagate 80 and 40gb |

I am use Rabbity's latest but it the same for all the nrages. All the games have screwed up rumble but try a game like F-zero, easy to check.
All my other emulators/pc games have rumble working pretty much fine (LA rush, Colin McRae don't have it though with XBCD drivers for some reason). So from what I seen this is the only rumble regression since 0.2.1. Its something to do with that .sys file because once I swap just that file with the old one, rumble works perfectly in PJ64. Let me know if there's any more information that I can provide. |

I am trying to install my x360 x-plorer guitar and i uninstalled the controller then tried re-installing it and it just uses the microsoft drivers.... and when i go and do an update driver and click on xbcd.inf it appears to be loading it fine, then when it gets to the end it says
"an error occured during the installation of the device" any idea what I'm doing wrong...? i uninstalled everything that had to do with xbcd old versions and then i did a install of 0.2.6... |
